Fees and Prizes

The annual re-entry fee is $275, however prize money generated from the annual fee, trades and free agent signings and team signings throughout the season is broken down as follows:

  • 50% goes towards end of season prizes
  • 50% will be placed in the pool’s “bank” for revenue sharing purposes.

Long-Term Disability

  • Cost: $15 per player placed on LTD. Please refer to 2010-2011 Rules Guidebook for details.
  • The LTD option can not be traded. Each owner can exercise this option twice (2) per season.
  • A player can be placed on LTD if he is injured or is no longer in the NHL (without any restrictions) and that player’s salary will not count against the salary cap for the duration of the of the time the player is on LTD (minimum 21 days).

Team Replacement

  • Cost: minimum starting fee of $15.

Draft Order

  • The weighted-average lottery to determine who will have the 1st overall pick will be held at the end of the regular season, during a playoff game GM meeting.

Franchise Owner Replacement

  • In the unlikely event that a franchise owner should decide to leave the pool, the first plan of action is to hold a GM meeting to determine the fate of the franchise and its players.
