TO does it again. Markov out for 2 – 4 months

2 October, 2009 (11:01) | HOCKEY TALK | By: Giacomo

Per Kevin Mio from habsinsideout.com

Canadiens defenceman Andrei Markov underwent surgery to repair tendon damage on Thursday night and will be out of action for at least two months, according to reports on Friday. However, RDS is saying the injury could keep him out of action for as long as four months.

Markov was cut on the ankle by Carey Price’s skate as the goaltender scrambled to get back into position seconds before the Maple Leafs scored their third goal of the game in the third period Thursday night.

This is the second straight game at the Air Canada Centre in which Markov has been hurt. During Montreal’s final game there last season, he was run into the boards from behind my Mikhail Grabovski, injuring his knee and forcing Markov out of action for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.

More details to come.

This is the Karma… he turned down the captaincy and pissed-off the gods! I’m starting to think PRICE is a cancer! We should have taken KOPITAR in that draft!

I know it’s hard but keep the faith. Apparently Hamrlik will be replacing Markov! LOL
